Fab Feet for Fall by DK

Somehow, the footwear from Donna Karan‘s F/W09 collection went un-noticed. This hinge sole sandal is sickly chic, that my heart skipped a beat. Fall is all about additions and updating your pre-existing wardrobe, and these definitely do the trick.  The colours are quite neutral and tame, but the buckle above the ankle, the cut-outs + open-toe, zipper, and rivets along the base really add personality and take the chic-factor up a notch. As we saw from Burberry Prorsum, the tire track sole is so appropriate as the F/W season approaches its days of snow. At approx. $700US, it’d be worth saving every penny and foregoing that winter jacket purchase to have your feet looking fabulous.

Of  the two styles shown above, the croc embossed calfskin (left) made me salivate like a dog. Using it as a starting point, I styled an eclectic ensemble from the shoes, worked my way up, and came up with this (below, which j’adore)! [K]

  1. Those shoes really do give your heart reason to skip a beat. I think they went un-noticed because the collection was pretty tame and the same as usual with a few changes here and there, so no one really paid that much attention. Besides a select few NY fashion week was pretty tame this past fall. I can’t wait for Spring 2010.

I thought I died when I saw that you would pair those croc heels, with the black fur! It’s so Dior Couture Fall 2006. I loved that show to death, and that gothic/punk rock segment was just the edgiest thing Dior has done it a while. So it was like a trip down memory lane.

  2. i love those shoes. so gorg!
