The second I saw these pieces via Kirna Zabete, I almost parished on account of the severe Lanvin shadow they casted. To my surprise, these beautifully crafted neck armour are courtesy of Ranjana Khan.
Check out another stunning Ranjana piece after the jump!

OBSESSED with the covers for BLACK Magazine’s 11th issue. I’m a bit over the effortless downtown girl look, but Hannah is working it oh too well. Heidi’s shot is a tad lackluster, but I’m satisfied. Siri + Constance are blowing me away with this over-the-top glam which we’re not used to seeing on either of these top models. ‘Tis a refreshing departure, especially from Siri’s sweet, innocent sort of looks. Subscription is on the pricey side, so I’ll stick to the digital mag for now!

Unfortunately, it was not him. Such a drool-worthy shot for 3 reasons: a. he’s Givenchy S/S2010-clad from head-to-toe, b. he’s Canadian, and c. he’s F’n gorgeous. This is Matt Nichols, one of the finalists from the latest VMAN Ford Model Search. I’m sure we’ll be seeing more of him despite the fact that he was not crowned as the winner (big mistake; look at him!)
Check out vman.com for more photos of Matt + the other finalists and winner.

We’ve all seen the illustrious video for Bad Romance featuring Gaga extensively-clad in McQueen S/S2010. After my 209829th reply of the video, I went through a gamut of Gaga performances + interviews. This interview by John Norris for Noisevox brought a tear to my eye. I got to see just how intelligent, articulate (in certain respects), profound, and passionate she is about her art. I don’t know what more I can say except that she has inspired me, [K]INGCHIC, to follow my dreams and my heart, period. Watch it:

There isn’t one collection from the boys @ Viktor & Rolf that I haven’t absolutely been sweet on. In terms of new ideas + pushing the boundaries, I believe they rival McQueen or Jacobs, but in a different way. Maybe I don’t read enough international mags but from what I can see, V&R don’t get the editorial credit they truly deserve. Take the platforms from their S/S 2010 collection; HELLO! Editors of spring issues better be featuring all of these or something is wrong.

Project Runway Canada Season 1 winner Evan Biddell is truly evolving as a designer. His winning PR collection was very schizophrenic in terms of inspiration; twas very high street urban chic. His S/S2010 collection brought on ethereal undertones and softer elements. The necklaces are in need of being showcased in my magazine. Canada’s got talent people, I’m tellin’ you.

Part 2 has arrived! So many favourite things from S/S 2010, I can’t contain myself. There were tons of great investment pieces that would flow easily into the pre-existing wardrobe. Here we go!

“So You Think You Can Dance” host Cat Deeley turned it out, rocking Givenchy sandals from F/W09 to the Jimmy Choo X H&M launch in Los Angeles yesterday. Cat (or her stylist) decided to throw Givenchy on her feet while every other attendee was sporting pieces from the collection. Her style is evolving every season on SYTYCD, and I’m thrilled to see she’s gone as far as the runway to decorate her feet. Way to go against the grain Cat.

S/S 2010 was filled with goodies in menswear (especially accessories-wise). I’d like to share with you some of the items that touched me in inappropriate places. The difference between this and Oprah’s favourite things is that I unfortunately can’t send you home with every item (sorry).

Fabulous cover and fabulous editorial spreads. November 2009’s issue of Vogue Paris will be in my hands at any cost; count on it.

Isabeli Fontana by David Sims
I can’t get over the brush stroke font they used. She’s like a tribal-chic fashion mess. <3

Raquel Zimmermann by Mario Sorrenti in "Graffi-Couture"
Kudos to Emmanuelle Alt for the brilliant styling in “Graffii-Couture“. I’m glad she chose my favourite piece from Riccardo Tisci’s Fall 2009 Haute Couture collection for Givenchy, to be featured on the 1st page of the spread….
