Project Runway Canada Season 1 winner Evan Biddell is truly evolving as a designer. His winning PR collection was very schizophrenic in terms of inspiration; twas very high street urban chic. His S/S2010 collection brought on ethereal undertones and softer elements. The necklaces are in need of being showcased in my magazine. Canada’s got talent people, I’m tellin’ you.

Part 2 has arrived! So many favourite things from S/S 2010, I can’t contain myself. There were tons of great investment pieces that would flow easily into the pre-existing wardrobe. Here we go!

“So You Think You Can Dance” host Cat Deeley turned it out, rocking Givenchy sandals from F/W09 to the Jimmy Choo X H&M launch in Los Angeles yesterday. Cat (or her stylist) decided to throw Givenchy on her feet while every other attendee was sporting pieces from the collection. Her style is evolving every season on SYTYCD, and I’m thrilled to see she’s gone as far as the runway to decorate her feet. Way to go against the grain Cat.

S/S 2010 was filled with goodies in menswear (especially accessories-wise). I’d like to share with you some of the items that touched me in inappropriate places. The difference between this and Oprah’s favourite things is that I unfortunately can’t send you home with every item (sorry).

Fabulous cover and fabulous editorial spreads. November 2009’s issue of Vogue Paris will be in my hands at any cost; count on it.

Isabeli Fontana by David Sims
I can’t get over the brush stroke font they used. She’s like a tribal-chic fashion mess. <3

Raquel Zimmermann by Mario Sorrenti in "Graffi-Couture"
Kudos to Emmanuelle Alt for the brilliant styling in “Graffii-Couture“. I’m glad she chose my favourite piece from Riccardo Tisci’s Fall 2009 Haute Couture collection for Givenchy, to be featured on the 1st page of the spread….

Filed under: FASHION SPONTANEITY, YOUR THOUGHTS | Tags: boots, chocolate brown, DSquared², Fall/Winter, fur, lining, S/S2010, tan caramel, Town Shoes
Why did I wait so long to get boots for these ‘well-known’ winters I’m accustomed to, and have been for the last 21 years? My lackadaisalness aside… These DSquared² boots are not surprisingly (knowing D²) from the SS2010 menswear collection embracing the great outdoors and the equipment one needs for survival. J’adore the styling; the neon two-tone woolies showing while the boots are loose with laces un-done.
DSquared² apparel is absurdly overpriced so these boots are inspiration behind the pair I will eventually be wearing daily for the next 5-6months. Town Shoes had an interesting pair, much like these, except the colour was hideous (icy gray-blue with black sole; wasn’t happening). <3 the caramel-tan. Hopefully I find something decent before we all get snowed in!
P.S. Winter = I’ll be keeping my shirt on + adding 3-4 layers of wool.

African countries/cities (aren’t known as being the world’s fashion capitals, but all those street-style photographers might want to think about visiting places other than NYC, Paris, London, + Tokyo for inspiring and original style. First saw her (Miroslava Duma) on J&J and fell in love. This look is inspired by key pieces that work and look best on this Russian bombshell.

If you follow me on Twitter (which I recommend you do – I’m kinda fantastic), you’d know that I made another trip to the bookstore to ransack the magazines from abroad. They are quite pricey, so I sit, read, take it all in, and put it back on the shelf like I had intentions to purchase but it just wasn’t for me. Ten (10) magazine is my new love (both men’s + women’s). I had never actually read an issure before today, only seen covers online. Great editorials and the editing/design is fabuloso. Everything revolves around the perfect number ten. Also, Alla K. <3

VMAN 15 is out and packing heat. My eyes have been glued on this shot since I picked up this issue. J’adore the Prada leather top on Vladmir, while Gen’s eyes are unambiguously captivating. <3
