Could we say that Jeremy Scott‘s FW11 collection poked fun at Prada’s well-received SS11 collection? I think it’s safe to say, yes; even down to the stripes. Assuming Mr. Scott’s furry accessories are faux, they are deliciously kitsch. They won’t bear a price tag relatively close to the near $5,000 tag a là Prada. Therefore, could J.Scott have a hit on his hands (ultimately, thanks to Miuccia)?

No need for an informative introduction, as I’m sure you’re aware that NYFW is in full swing. There is only 2 more full days of shows, so let’s hope those scheduled designers bring the beauty. Following the conclusion of NYFW, I’ll be posting my favourite collections in a “Best of New York” post. There isn’t a Yang without a Ying, therefore those collections that missed the mark, or didn’t live up to expectations (yes, we all have opinions) will be discussed.
